The Boar is common to Pictish -ancient Celtic - art. The boar is the found on the O'Anluain (Hanlon) family crest, an emblem of strength and fearlessness.

The trinity - or triquetra - can be found throughout Celtic artwork. In many instances, it is merely an appealing design element. In many others, it is a representation of the Holy Trinity. Such is this.
