Why do you only ship on Wednesday?

Honestly, because I have guaranteed babysitting for my toddlers on Wednesday morning. They are lovely humans, but I still can’t trust them to cooperate for every important errand run!

Also, I like to take packages to the post office myself to make sure they are properly processed (as much as I can!). I just don’t trust leaving packages out for pickup.

That said, please email me if you need faster shipping! I may be able to make it happen. I simply do not wish to make a promise for faster delivery on every order and find that I cannot follow through.

Will you ever offer International Shipping?

Please email me if you are interested in International Shipping. I’m happy to offer this service if there is enough need.

Do you offer wholesale products?

Yes, but they are currently limited to prints and pendants. If you’re interested in stocking Please email me at madeline@MHanlonArt.com for more information.

Do you take custom orders/commissions?

Yes, definitely! I accept orders for custom wall art, boxes, and guitar bodies. I offer free design consultation to make sure that you and I, as well as the art to be created, are a good match. A form for this process is coming soon, but in the meantime, please email me at madeline@MHanlonArt.com for pricing and other details.

Can I commission you for a pet portrait?

Yes, I’m happy to help you create a special memory of your pet. Please email me with your request and at least one well-lit, clear photo of your pet. I will reply within 48 hours with pricing and other details.

Can I commission you for a family/wedding/child/other portrait?

Yes. Please see my galleries for examples of my portrait work. Please email me with your request and the photo you would like recreated.

Do I have to contact you for all commission pricing?

At this time, yes. I’m finalizing my pricing sheets, and will make them easily accessible here once they are done.

What is the general process for a custom order/commission?

  • Design consultation: share your vision for the art with me, and I will create three thumbnails along with a price quote for the project. If both parties are comfortable with the direction of the project, we move into...

  • Contract: I will write the details of pricing and timing into my custom order contract. You will see a breakdown of how much time each phase of the project should approximately take. We will also agree to a payment plan** at this time. This phase concludes with both parties coming to an agreement on terms, and a 50% non-refundable down payment to begin work on the project.

  • Order materials: Sometimes it takes more than a couple days. While we wait, work on...

  • Digital mockups: You will receive three sketches that are more refined than the thumbnails. You and I will discuss and make changes, settling on one to turn into a final digital mockup.

  • Begin tangible artwork: At this point, we have agreed on the art. If you would like weekly updates on the progress, I am happy to send an email with photos of progress.

Will you make copies of past artwork?

The short answer is, probably not. I offer prints of many of my pieces. I have found that making the same art twice is simply not as satisfying, and rarely carries the same “spirit” of the first.
